10,000 BASEBALL & SOFTBALL PLAYERS

FACILITATING PLAY FOR CHESTER,. DELAWARE and MONTGOMERY COUNTIES

HIGHLIGHTS

July 15 2024

We now enter the final week of pool play and prepare for the bracket play next weekend.  Below are updates for both tournaments.

BB-Bennett (9/10-YO)

  • We have three pool play games on Tuesday.  There is one remaining game on Thursday at Chester Valley that I am still working on setting up.

  • Bracket play on the weekend will be grouped with three teams in one bracket and four teams in the other bracket.  Final assignments will be determined once pool play is completed.

  • Semi-Finals --

    • Sat (7/20), 2:00/4:00 pm -- There will be two semi-final games at GV-King Road (Schmidt Field).

    • Sat (7/20), TBD -- There will be one other game at a location TBD (once we see who the other teams will be).

  • Championship Games --

    • Sun (7/21), 10:00 am, Red Championship at CV-Monument Park

    • Sun (7/21), 12:00 pm, Blue Championship at CV-Monument Park

BB-JohnKlein (11/12-YO)

  • We have five more pool play games this week (see below for some schedule changes).

  • In order to include all nine teams, we will have a #8 vs. #9 game on Thursday, 7/18.

  • To make room for this 8/9 game on Thursday, we need to make some schedule changes this week:

    • BB-JK-19 -- Tue, 7/16, 6:00 pm, R/W at UPLL -- no changes

    • BB-JK-20 -- Wed, 7/17, 6:00 pm, CV at GV1 -- I would like to move this game to Tue, 7/16, 6:00 pm at GV-King Road

    • BB-JK-21 -- Tue, 7/16, 6:00 pm, PG/PT at GV2 -- I would like to move this to Tues, 7/16, 7:00 pm at PT-Novak Field (let me know if PGP can host this game)

    • BB-JK-22 -- Tue, 7/16, 7:00 pm, BP at LP1 -- no changes

    • BB-JK-23 -- Thur, 7/18, 7:00 pm, LP2 at LP1 -- no changes

  • Since LP2 is playing their final game on Thur, 7/18, we are making the decision that they are not going to fall into the #8 or #9 seed, but they do need to play on Thursday in order to earn their final seeding.

  • Semi-Finals -- These will be finalized on Tues night, but this is tentatively the plan.

    • Thur (7/18), TBD, #8 Seed vs. #9 Seed at TBD

    • Sat (7/20), 2:00/4:00 pm, two games at GV-King Road*

    • Sat (7/20), 10:00 am, one game at BP-Field of Dreams*

    • Sat (7/20), 10:00 am, one game at RW-Encke Park*

  • Championship Games --

    • Sun (7/21), 2:00 pm, Red Championship at CV-Monument Park

    • Sun (7/21), 4:00 pm, Blue Championship at CV-Monument Park
